After 7 years of classical piano lessons and an uncle that taught me all the guitar chords I was 13 years old and started my first band, called 'Us'. Me and my friends Chris and Bert. It was 1968.

We played Beatles covers only. And then a really beautiful girl called Monique invited us to play at her birthday party. It was a 'big' success. I was the singer and played the electrical guitar (as good as I could, which i didn't).

Then I stopped playing guitar and wanted to be a lead singer.

Then many bands followed: Hard Rock, Blues, Glam Rock, Symphonic Rock, Nightclub band and in the 80's my fave band: World's End, with our single out on Polydor records 'Spy in Rome'. produced by my fave producer: the fabulous John Tilly.

Then in 1986 I stopped making music cause I felt too 'old'.

Now it is 2020 and I am 65. Yes, I call it my end life crisis. In this year I had to go to hospital for my heart and one day later also for my lungs. In both cases it seemed I was healthy as f....

But it made me think what a waste of time, all those years of not making music anymore.

So, I started to write in March 2020 and in a couple months I came up with 36 new songs. Based on my Amsterdam Vondelpark Hippie period in the 60's/70's.

The first 6 songs are recorded now with my music pal Richard Langendijk. A brilliant guitar player, drummer and producer. In his small but sufficient studio two doors from where me and my wife Caroline (also my manager) live.

The first single is 'It Is Time' has already been released on the 18th of December 2020. In the C19-year of all years.

So, many singles will follow in 2021. The next one on the 8th January 2021, called 'I'm out of Control'.

Hope you like my new/old style and voice.

LOVE AND PEACE

Me waiting in the studio for Richard Langendijk to mix my voice. Always a tense moment. How will I sound? Will I like it?
